history of Industriebouw Verelst Verelst relies on years of experience and has in time taken an important position in the construction industry. The Verelst story begins in 1979. Luc Verelst, engineer, starts his own building company based on his experience in the agricultural sector. Notwithstanding the fact that the firm initially mainly produces agricultural constructions the focus is soon shifted to industrial constructions. |
Semi-Industrial
projects |
Today Industriebouw Verelst covers over more than 400.000 m² a year, ranging from sheds to multifunctional warehouse units. A steel workshop was bought in 1984, due to the enormous growth and the specific high-performance requirements set by Verelst for its steel constructions. The current workshop produces 15.000 tons of steel a year. |

Towards the end of the eighties the firm's activities are further expanded by the take-over of a family business building firm. This take-over allows Verelst to apply its knowledge and experience in the sector of house and mansion building, a trade in which it currently takes a leading position. In 1999 Luc Verelst lays down his management mandates and retires from Verelst. Since its origin Verelst has grown into a competitive corporation where quality is of great importance. The know-how and experience gained through the years is continued by the current management, Eddy Van Arwegen, Wim Verlinden en Wim Van Hoof, who together with their team make sure that Verelst continues to represent what it has always represented and always will represent: "a solid construction company with a human face where everyone feels at home". |
